| Sound Ratings(s): | joshmakar Sound Rating Quality is fair but it cuts in and out some places and the volume sometimes fades in and out. 06 - Swamp Song (Unique intro) 07 - Bottom (Different interlude, "There's no other choice but to go inside and rebuild the throne. No other choice. Too much too far to let the *inaudible*. There's no other choice. See I've gotta honor myself to fight you now. Cause you left me no choice. I'll make weapons out of my imperfections because that's all I have left. There's no other choice. Shameless now. I'm nameless now. I'm ugly now, used and beaten, but my soul is iron, and my fear is naked. I'm naked and fearless and my fear is naked.") Starjelly08 Sound Rating Holy Moses. First time maynard screams on this one may surprise ya. Got a few chills. Quality is pretty listenable. Definitely not pro, but pretty great for an audience recording, especially back then. It does seem a little cut up but it hasn't wrecked anything so far in my listening. Theres some, fairly light distortion. Especially when Maymay is doing his big angrys. So it very well could have been distorting through his own mic/PA system. This one is a good example of how powerful his voice was/is. Tons of dynamic range left in his vocals here. Bottom appears to have an extra measure in the beginning as well as quite a bit of a difference on much of the vocals. And "HOLY fucking shit" at one point. It's a decent Tool recording from back in 92, first EP days. What more needs to be said? Of course its worthy of a listen. Maybe even a download. And if my rating doesn't show up right on this...I gave it 6 stars. hodor Sound Rating I'm rating higher cause first review took 0 stars. This must have been a great tour with Maynard and Rollins screaming all the way. At least MJK can sing lol. Marcy Sound Rating deckard74
Sound Rating Not a horrible listen by any stretch, the instruments and vocals seem to be reasonably balanced here. Not too bad for an early-on audience recording, and certainly worthy of a listen, especially for the screaming in Bottom! Recording cuts briefly near the end of Crawl Away, and at the beginning of Sober. | ||||||||||
